Steven Dona Architecture has been in business servicing the Puget Sound Region since 1998. During this time, we have designed hundreds of custom residences and remodels as well as many small commercial projects. Our firm specialty is providing great personal service, because we love to work with people.
For Steve, architecture provides a perfect blend of art and science along with enough room left over to be creative. Steve earned his architectural degree at the University of Washington in 1985. He then worked for several years for a construction firm, further developing his understanding of how buildings are built out in the field. He then worked with an architectural firm as well as taught a building construction class for the interior Design Department at Bellevue Community College. When not working, Steve, his wife Cathy and his two children enjoy road bike riding, water and snow skiing, and wind surfing.
Larry has been with us since 1999. Since he began working at our firm, he has brought with him a wealth of knowledge, learned through his years of work as a commercial contractor. He really shines when a job is complex or detail oriented, as he is one of the best project managers in the business. One of the original bicycle commuters, he puts thousands of miles on his bike each year, riding to work. Rain or snow, we usually expect Larry to ride his bike to the office! Larry has been active in Scouting most of his life. On weekends Larry can often be seen herding his Boy Scout troop along one of the local trails.
Scott has been with us since 2001. He has done a masterful job of juggling his family life and architectural exams. Scott will earn his architectural license in December of 2008. I count on Scott for his critical eye and great sense of design. He has really grown into his role of project architect. Scott graduated from Washington State in 1995, with a degree in Architecture. As you can expect, we regularly have Cougar vs. Husky jokes in the office. On his time away from the office he enjoys hiking with his camping family.
