Medina zoning code does not allow homes to be very tall. For this reason, a traditional gambrel roof shingle style was chosen. A gambrel roof is quite flat on top with steeply sloping sides, which achieve an elegant home with a low sloped roof… quite a feat! Moldings, finishes, and light fixtures were chosen to support the nostalgic theme. This project succeeds because everyone worked so diligently toward the goal of a really timeless high quality home. Everything about the residence reinforces the feeling of true vintage quality.
